The role:

As a Consultant Data Engineer, you will bring extensive expertise in data handling and curation capabilities to the team.

The role and Day to day will include:

• 
  Software Engineering competency across languages such as C/C++, awk, Shell scripting, Python.
• 
  A lexer/parser tool such as ANTLR would be an added advantage.
• 
  Good understanding of IBM Mainframe Copybooks or COBOL.
• 
  Well-versed with EBCDIC and ASCII formats and their conversion into one another.

· Software Delivery technical skills such as CI/CD, Automated Deployments, Automated Testing, Build Servers, and Software / Source Code Configuration Management.

• 
  Knowledge of core AWS data services such as S3, RDS, EC2, KMS
• 
  Platform automation tools (DB Management, AWS, Jenkins, GITHUB)

· Proven ability to use relevant data analytics approaches and tools to problem-solve and trouble-shoot.

• 
  Good written & verbal communication skills - both listening and engaging
• 
  Apply pro-actively & perform hands-on design and implementation of best practice CI/CD

· Coaching & mentoring of other Service Team members

· Develop/contribute to software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
